Missing Millions

Savers Have Mislaid Millions of Pounds in Old Pension Pots.

If you have changed jobs during your career, you may find yourself with several different pension pots with different employers or pension providers.

It’s obviously very important to track down all the different pension schemes you’ve paid into as you’ll want to be sure that when you retire you’re claiming everything you are entitled to.

However, it can be easy to lose track of paperwork over the years and if you are in this position then there are various steps you can take to track down old pension schemes.

Whilst contacting old employers is an obvious first step there is also a free service operated by the Department of Work and Pensions.

The service is called ‘The Pension Tracing Service’ and it was launched back in May 2016. The Pension Tracing Service has a database of more than 200,000 workplace and personal pension schemes and has already been successfully used by thousands of savers to track down old pension pots.

If you think you could benefit from this service you can find more information on the following websites:-
